On October 9th, the Hispanic Dental Association, Buffalo chapter participated in the first ever Empanada sale! Empanadas are a traditional dish of Hispanic culture and consist of a fried folded dough stuffed with meat, cheese and/or vegetables. Preorders were taken for three days and some extras were made for day of sales. In all, 165 Empanadas were sold. The “extra” empanadas were sold out within 15 minutes of the sale beginning!!! The Empanadas over all were a hit and as a chapter we made over $200! We look forward to having this food sale again soon! Thank you to everyone who bought Empanadas and helped support the HDA! Special thanks to Emma Guzman, Stephanie Hoyos and Marcus Spera for their excellent cooking skills!
