Orientation Week from a First Year Perspective

Coming off of Orientation Week, I realized how much I love dental school. I realized instantly that our class and UBSDM were something truly special. The first day of class was great and gave me the impression that “Wow! This isn’t going to be that much work”. But by the end of the week I realized, I was completely wrong. Our first day of Dental Anatomy Lab was amazing; I got my first hands on taste of being a dentist. Directions, talks, and advice from upperclassmen really put my transition into dental school in perspective, and I feel ready for the years to come. I also really loved getting free lunches. Although there is a lot of work yet to do, I love dental school and being part of the UB SDM family thus far.
