Although I am not a football fanatic, when ASDA announced they would be hosting a tailgate for a Buffalo Bill’s game I jumped at the opportunity to attend. Having just finished our first block of gross anatomy, the tailgate came at a perfect time for the first year students. It gave us an opportunity to get our minds off school and spend the day having fun with the rest of the dental school, most of whom we don’t get to see on a daily basis. The morning started early with bagels, coffee, and mimosas to wake us up and get us ready for a day of football. As the day went on, the D3 grill masters, Aaron Cronk and Mike Daly, prepared a delicious spread of burgers, hotdogs, and chicken kabobs, while the rest of us played yard games before heading off to the game. Despite our cheering and enthusiasm throughout the game, the Bill’s were unsuccessful at continuing their winning record and finished the game with their first loss of the season. Nonetheless, I’ll be back next year for another fun-filled day of friends, football, and food.
