District 2 Summer Social

Friends, fun, sun, colleagues and dentistry can describe the summer ASDA District 2 Social that was hosted at Tavern on 3rd in New York City. The event was co-sponsored by the NextDDS and Henry Schein and hosted by Gregory Shank, the District 2 Trustee, the NextDDS Student Liaison, John Papa, and CUCDM Social Chair, David Beard. THE NEXT DDS is a website developed just for dental students. It contains instructional resources designed to complement your university and clinical training. It’s is a resource where students can communicate with their collegues in their university and around the nation. Attendees from SUNY Stony Brook, Columbia, NYU, Rutgers and SUNY Buffalo, mingled, discussed the previous semester and the upcoming one; excited to continue our journey towards our careers. Upper classman gave advice to the incoming 1st years from NYU that were anxiously taking in all the tricks of getting through dental school. The creator of the NextDDS and the cabinet of District 2 along with the NextDDS Ambassadors discussed the upcoming trends in dentistry and how we found ourselves pursuing this career. Overall it was a great event that introduced the members of District 2 to the NextDDS and allowed us to catch up and anticipate the exciting year to come.
