INterCultural Awareness

UB Dental for Intercultural Awareness is a group of multi-ethnic students focused on promoting interest in and awareness of various cultures between the School of Dental Medicine and the Buffalo community. This educational and culturally-focused organization hosts "cultural spotlight" series on how to appropriately treat different patient populations, in effort to make us more competent health-care providers.

 

Other events held throughout the year include dental education outreach events, oral screening events, and collaborations with non-profit organizations such as Journey's End Refugee Services and Jericho Road Community Health Center. We encourage anyone and everyone to join us as we look to serve diverse populations both here in Buffalo and beyond. (Multi-lingual students are especially encouraged to join!).
